Software Developer:

Our successful, well-established company is currently accepting resumes for a full time position in our Information Technology Department. Candidate must have experience in a Lean/JIT manufacturing environment and possess good communication skills. Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain Manufacturing software applications including Work Order Processing,
    Shop Floor Control, and Capacity Planning programs.
  • Perform Software testing/analysis.
  • Provide IT help desk support.
  • Participate in software design meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Lean/JIT Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Java or graphical business basic equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years programming experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with little supervision.

Sales Representative:

Blockhouse Company is an industry leader in contract furniture. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Factory Sales Representative to join the York based Blockhouse team selling contract furniture.  Candidates should possess a strong self-confidence and excellent communication skills. Prior sales experience is preferred, but not required.

You will be responsible for selling to customers in Colleges, Universities, Health Care facilities, and Government/Military bases.  Regular overnight travel will be required.  Training will be provided and we have an experienced inside support team to help with the sales process. We will assist you so you will succeed!  Salary is commensurate with qualifications, plus commission and reimbursement for expenses.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to make 40+ prospecting phone calls a day to start the sales cycle
  • Ability to understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Ability to manage entire sales process from prospecting through close.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Able to present and communicate the unique advantages of Blockhouse products.
  • Results driven, able to manage time effectively and achieve sales quotas.
  • Travel in the field to be approx 12 weeks per year, done one week at a time.
